The designer discovered an abandoned opal globe in front of a glass factory while strolling through Barcelona in the 1960s. Over time, it became the center of this big family once he picked it up. Cesta, which translates to “basket” in Spanish, was made specifically to contain this delicate object.
This lamp object can be picked up and handled with ease, making it perfect for both tabletops and floors. It was inspired by the traditional lanterns that light up residences along the coast, rural estates, and open terraces.
A lovely cherry timber framework supports the opal glass shade. The wood is carefully crafted by European artisans using age-old steam bending processes, and it is then expertly polished and solidly fitted together.
