RBS Cactus Lamp The lamp’s designer is renowned for their diverse portfolio, which encompasses a wide range of scales, materials, and processes. Their creations consistently exhibit a refined understanding of materials and an aesthetic simplicity.

The designer has gained international acclaim for their ice cast vessels and sand cast resin furniture. While working on the sand furniture, the designer’s studio began to resemble a desert, with several inches of sand covering the floor. This experience served as inspiration for the creation of the RBS Cactus Lamp, utilizing a similar technique. They meticulously carved a solid block of sand and permanently set it in place with resin.

This distinctive lamp also incorporates a glass element that was mouth blown into a hand-carved sand blow-mold. The combination of sand, resin, and glass results in a visually striking and artistically intriguing piece.
